About Me
Hi! I'm Jordana. I'm the photographer behind the Jordanalisa Photography lens. I have been a full time studio pet and portrait photographer in the Minneapolis area since about 2021. Before that, I was the marketing director of a well known animal rescue here in the twin cities where I photographed literally thousands of dogs and cats for their adoption profiles. I live in the south metro area with my husband, two teenage humans, at least two dogs (we foster regularly) and a Sphynx cat.
I got into photography as a teenager, taking photos of my mom's show cats, and capturing adorable photos of kittens for their potential families. I feel it's pretty safe to say that if you learn how to take a great photo of a cat, you can take a great photo of almost anything.
When I moved into the rescue world, I developed a huge passion for capturing the soul of an animal in a photo. I can't tell you how many times I heard 'the second I saw that photo, I knew he was mine'. I understood that those very first photos of these animals were literally life changing (and let's be honest, saving) for them. I thought well why can't I do the same thing for beloved pets??
I have the best job EVER in that every day is a different experience, with different people, and different animals. I feel honored to meet each and every one of them, and help their families capture that personality and spirit that they fell in love with.
